When we go through the experience of loss, there are so many really hard, painful moments that we are forced to go through. Moments when we can’t barely breathe, when we either go numb or are filled with excruciating pain.
So I am sharing with you this playlist that I created with the help of other moms of lost little one. Because sometimes there are no words to express what we are feeling.
Sometimes our sorrow needs a soundtrack.
Music can be a valuable part of a survival kit when we are processing heart break, trauma, and loss. Many of the songs below have provided me with a little comfort when I needed it or helped me to express or tap into an emotion that I didn’t quite have the words for. We used the first song, Reasons we were blessed by Xavier Rudd, to help us announce the passing of our daughter, Nora, to friends and family.
Other songs included here have been offered to me by other angel mamas, so I thank you for sharing your suggestions with me.
I encourage you to see if any of these songs resonate with you or help you to tell a part of your story. If you have found any other music that has helped to support you during your own experience of loss and healing, please let me know. I would love to hear it and to share it with other moms who may need it too. And if you found this list useful, please share it with a friend who may also benefit from a bit of extra comfort and support today. Thank you!
